Choosing the right education setting for a child or young person with SEND can feel like a big decision, particularly when you’re unsure what options are available or how the placement process works.
Education & Placement is designed to give you a clearer understanding of the different types of education provision available, from mainstream and specialist provision to alternative options, and the different levels of support they can offer.
We’ll explore how education placements are considered, who is involved in the process and some of the factors that may determine which settings are appropriate for your child or young person.
